Middle School Summer Youth Troup Classes

Based on the popular Disney Channel Original Movies, Disney’s Descendants: The Musical is a brand-new musical jam-packed with comedy, adventure, Disney characters, and hit songs from the films!  Imprisoned on the Isle of the Lost – home of the most infamous villains who ever lived – the teenaged children of Maleficent, the Evil Queen, Jafar, and Cruella De Vil have never ventured off the island… until now. When the four troublemakers are sent to attend prep school alongside the children of beloved Disney heroes, they have a difficult choice to make: should they follow in their parents’ wicked footsteps or learn to be good?

Come join the team at Theatre Lawrence and help create the world of Auradon including the Isle of the Lost!  Along side TL Assistant Tech Director, Danny Rogovein and Education Director, Emily Giles, students will get to create and build props and set pieces that will be used in our production of Descendantsl.  Things may get a little messy but using our problem solving skills and some new stagecraft knowledge,  the students will help transport the audience members into the magical or not-so-magical world of Auradon.

Games! Games! And More Games!  If you have been in a play or class before and wished there was more time to play theatre games, this is the class for you! 

Besides being fun, theatre games are a great way to improve your performance skills and well as your communication and social skills.  We will play a whole host of games and learn a few new ones. In order to participate, you must need to be willing to have fun!

You might need to calm down when you hear that Theatre Lawrence is doing a summer camp featuring the songs from Taylor Swift! By singing and dancing to some of T Swift’s most popular songs, you will shake off any stage fright and learn to be fearless with fun choreography.  If summer has been cruel to you, come makes new friends and of course some friendship bracelets.
